Hide Files/folders On Android Device?

I'm trying to hide a load of music files on my phone so that they cannot be accessed by the Walkman app. I've previously done this using the ESFile Manager app, when I hid Christmas songs stored on my SD card so that they don't play throughout the year. I now want to do it with all my Beatles albums but it does not seem to work properly. Can anyone suggest an app that will allow me to do this?

I would much prefer being able to hide the entire folder containing all the albums, which number around 18, rather than having to go into each album folder and hide each file individually.

Thanks fender but that didn't seem to work. It won't let me create a folder with a . in front of it, nor will it let me amend the name of an existing folder by trying to put a . in front.

Fender, I tried that app and a few similar ones but either they don't do what I'm trying or don't work at all. The folders in question may be hidden from their containing folder and go to the hide list but they are still being accessed by the Walkman app.
