Alec Salmond talked about a civilised debate that has been going on in Scotland. Nothing Civilised about this intimidation and threats.

Alec Salmond is a bully, plain and simple. His debating technique is to ask a question that does not have a rational answer and the hector is opponent whilst he or she struggles to make sense of the question. I works every time.

I don't know why we're trying to bribe them to stay. I can't see that their departure will affect us terribly, but I think it will have a very adverse effect on them. From what I've head of the 'Yes' campaign, it's ill-considered and short-sighted in the extreme, so perhaps this is the only way to influence people who would otherwise think more seriously about the real implications of independence forever.
Eggs have been thrown - send in the tanks!

Overblown coverage from the DM. Nothing to worry about.
Heavens knows how nasty Alec S is going to turn if his beloved nation votes against him.

Hang on ... if you build your entire existence around one fundamental premise ... independence ... and then you find out that the majority of the population don't support you ...

There is only one option ... accept it as a vote of no confidence, and resign.

If the vote is "No" then Alec S must resign on Friday.

ps. Gromit, I like that you've adopted the LGBT symbol as your avatar. You can be an honorary Brightonian.
Alex Salmond a.k.a. Begbie With A Smile.
JJ,

I think god claimed the Rainbow before the LGBT community.

It is actually SPOD - Spinning Pizza of Death.
SPOD ... LGBT

potayto ... potarto

The word "swastika" is from the ancient Sanskrit ...

su ... asti ... ka

good ... to be ... making

So, symbols can change their primary association over time.

I still say ... very Brightonian, Gromit.

That is, of course, a compliment, not a criticism.
Is it true that in Brighton you can get Puff Pastry from all quarters ?
Here's an example and Salmond must be mad, she's a seriously impressive woman and used to handling/advising on terrorist situations.....Salmond would be chicken feed but to try and bully the Vice-Chancellor of your alma mater, well that's desperate - and sad.
Why yes, of course, Ron!

Scotland could become like something out of 1984.

You WILL agree with the official line ... or there will be a quiet visit!
