To be honest bryand I don't really mind, I don't do it to get Best Answer, I just do it to help.
Captain2, the wisdom of Solomon!
Capt.No not trying to stir it.

That is a very unselfish reply. I applaud you. I think danny and I have a competitive agenda in the most sporting way,of course.
Captain 2's suggestion is not without merit but it would take me all day to parse the clues as well but it is certainly a more informative way.

Thank you all for your input today, a very interesting thread. The 'Best Answer' award will go to the fastest, correct and complete answer received.
Good luck!
Also some people like to work out the clues once the answers have been given.
I'm happy with that decision bryand. Thanks your welcome.
Hwyl.
mac, that's how I started with cryptic crosswords, I call it the back to front method!
For what it is worth I agree with mac. I am sure nobody really minds who gets ba, most of it is just banter. If I were to try and pharse things I would be totally lost as my answers are quite often educated guesses!
And very informed educated guesses et al, and to boot Margo :)
Anyway, I can't hang around, must unload the washing machine and get the stuff in the dryer while the sun is out.
