if God had a vote in the Scottish Referendum what would He vote? I know that in the United Kingdom Christian values are in decline, God is rarely mentioned in schools for fear of offending other religions and Christians are being disciplined for expressing their faith in the workplace. But just for a moment think about what God would vote. All throughout the bible, old and new testament there is evidence of Him speaking of the value and of the importance of unity. In one verse it is written "Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction" And on that basis I would believe that God Himself would vote No to Scottish Independence and He would believe that Scotland would be stronger united with the United Kingdom.

I think this should be moved to R&S. Apart from the question, there are one or two answers I would like to address - persguru’s among them – but the News category is not the place.

If it’s staying here though, I nominate Jim360's post at 11.14 for best answer.
Jesus lived in a previously sovereign country, Israel, which had become the subjugated province of Judaea within the Roman Emperor, treated far more harshly than Scotland has ever been treated by England.

When he was challenged on the paying of Roman taxes, it was a golden opportunity to side with the Jewish nationalists and say "Yes, rise up, and free yourselves from the Roman yoke", but his answer "Render unto Caesar . . ." was (I think) his way of saying that, in spiritual terms, that wasn't the thing they should be mainly concerned about. As long as the Romans allowed them freedom of worship (which they actually did, unlike in most other Roman provinces), then everything was okay.
a lot of things have just been made very claer with this poster, I have not read any of the answers just the OP. Oh dear!
