Would it be possible to live our lives exactly as we do now without plastic?
Still have the flat screen tvs, blue ray players, games consoles, pcs, cars, smartphones, household electricals, headphones, frozen foods - everything we use today that has at least some plastic in it, but without the plastic?

Not "exactly" but the plastic in all those things could all be made using materials that pre date plastic but no doubt they would be more expensive and as such the economy would be entirely different.
Everything would weigh much more without plastic so cost more to operate. They would cost more to manufacture.

As such we could not live our lives the same without them because we wouldn't have the wealth to afford the more expensive alternatives.

BTW Remember electrical wiring before PVC? It had rubber impregnated cotton fibres. It went brittle in a few years. Homes would be burning down around us every day if we still used it.
