We have just got back from my grand-daughter's. She was rushed to Sheffield on Friday with a heart attack. She is only 30. Apparently she has 'sticky blood' which contributed to 2 miscarriages in the past and they think that has been part of the problem this time. They have put her on beta blockers and aspirin and as long as things go ok has to go back in 3 months.

Talk about panic - we were beside ourselves. She seemed in good spirits today if a little tired but that's only to be expected

Oh Granny Grump, what a shock for you all. Hopefully modern medicine will pop her back on her feet in no time, albeit a bit slowly. Take it easy yourself now.
I'm sure they'll be glad to see their mum, granny.
Question Author
thank you flump Yes neither of the little ones could understand what was going on
Thanks, Granny....and do let us know how she is......x
Of course you are worried and shocked - thank heavens she's now being monitored.

Take care.
Grammy, what a shock. best wishes xx
Hope all goes well.
Granny, your panic is totally understandable, but please be reassured that her being in good spirits today is an extremely good sign and there is every chance that she will make a full recovery. Heart attacks these days are not the death sentence they once were. I had a similar experience to you, though the person in my case was 37, and lives these days like it never happened.
Granny. so sorry but jeffa is right xxx
Question Author
Thank you all especially jeffa that is reassuring. It was just such a shock I still think of her as my first little granddaughter. Spoke to her this morning and she is very upbeat and positive so the awful panicky feeling is subsiding
GG, I wish her all the best for a full recovery. xx
Horrible for you all - hope you are all feeling a bit better today. My grandmother suffered from 'sticky blood' (and diabetes)and she lived to the ripe old age of 99, so I hope that reassures you a bit.

Thank you janbee and tigerlelly. Granddad G has sticky blood as well and he is nearly 70
Morning, Granny.....glad she's upbeat and positive...that's half the battle really....

The friend I have who had something similar said she did feel a little scared for a while afterwards.....but had good care and listened to the advice given... now she puts us all to shame with her buzz and energy....xx
