Can valium make anxiety and agitation worse I have been taking a lot 15mg over 3 days and it seems to be making me worse instead of better. I am wondering if it can stop being effective if taken over a long time 15 years??>

I have heard that it can. Sorry, that's all I can offer - maybe others who are more knowledgeable can help more.
I've heard the same, but rarely. It's a short-term medication and addictive. If you've been taking it longer than 3 months consistently, it's quite likely you'll get agitated between doses, yes. I guess (hope) you're on antidepressants anyway? It's much better and more stable to increase those. But you really need to see your doctor. Also, avoid alcohol with it (if you drink).
As pixie said, its very addictive and its not a very nice drug to come off, how much have you been taking over 3 days.
I was on it many years ago,and it was not easy commingnoff of it. You really need to find other, more practical ways to deal with your anxiety,as anything taken by mouth...be it food,drugs,caffeine,tobbaco...is going to be both addictive and counterproductive.
There is a lot of helpful information here along with support.
