If the GP confirms the presence of a lump then your daughter can be referred quickly to a one-stop breast clinic where all investigations are done on the same day - examination, mammogram or ultrasound and biopsy if necessary. The vast number of breast lumps like this are found to be benign, so try and not worry too much, and I know that's easier said than done.

Thinking of you this morning pastaf and hoping you managed to get a little sleep last night.

She saw doctor this morning she put in an urgent referral to the breast clinic...that means an appointment within 2 weeks. She's quite stressed and scared...not eating.
This has come at a bad time as she's just finishing her PhD research...her funding runs out at the end of this month...more pressure.
