>>>I can see two answers to your question So can I! The RHS website finds 558 results for 'Heuchera', so it might be best to identify the specific variety that you've got and click on 'Details' for that. However, for all of the varieties that I've tried, the same information is given. Viz: "Propagate by division in autumn"...

So can I!

However, for all of the varieties that I've tried, the same information is given. Viz: "Propagate by division in autumn"

Thanks Robinia and Buenchico, was too impatient I guess, and will take your advice Buenchico and look up site. Thanks.
I would argue, however, for spring. I found that my Montrose Ruby tended to heave out of the ground when it froze when I divided it in the fall, however a friend that had grown them in this area for years said do the job in the spring allowing for the plant to get its roots down more firmly and deeper over the growing season...

Lotsa varieties (we call them Coral Bells here in the western U.S.) but we also like the lighter shaded Peach Melba (among about 5 or 6 others).

Good luck!
Spring for me..I have loads of them ...they divide and spread easily for me in Edinburgh
