Bit odd.........

Are these (UK) the people who have belittlted the American Police, the Portuguese Police and the South African police and the judicial system of most of the world in their time?

Odd system where the warrants for arrest are based on public opinion.

Just a thought or two.
Hooray!
I am glad that the family is to be reunited and I hope that they manage to get the appropriate treatment for Ashya no matter what or where that is.
Good news...

Why is it odd, Sqad? They have more facts than us...
Good to hear this news, sense has prevailed.
The Spanish have had no notification yet.

Sqad

People are...odd.

But sometimes, odd in a good way.
sp...LOL...I suppose so.
oh I bet "Lessons are going to be learned" and when is it ever appropriate to take out a warrant for something that by their own admission they were never going to bring a prosecution for, in order to gain that assistance of foreign police forces?

and here's the nub

"Hampshire's police commissioner Simon Hayes said the CPS had made the "correct decision".

However, he explained he wanted assurance "as to the quality of the information given by Southampton General Hospital to Hampshire Constabulary".

"This is the time to analyse decisions that were made," he said."

Bloody Southampton General I wouldn't send someone else's rubber duck there
Well said, daffy.
So they have been released..........
Brilliant news, should never have come to this.... (sorry sqad) Bloody arrogant Doctors

// Odd system where the warrants for arrest are based on public opinion //

I wondered if you could get a warrant without alleging a crime. Perhaps stealing the infusor. Actually they had alleged parental neglect, on the facts as they had it

And yes sqad if you were in practice ( no not on ward but at home of course ) and a junior rang you and said a child under treatment had just disappeared from the ward....

and you said O do nothing I am sure it will be OK - they'll be back probably

then your next job would be - - how ccan I put it ? in Rotherham ?
// Bloody Southampton General I wouldn't send someone else's rubber duck there //

very good local reputation.

In the run up to Bristol ( some years ago I agree ) the preference was to by pass ( pun intended ) St Michael's and send to So'ton. instead

I will say again to health workers who seem to have forgotten
the interests of the child are paramount - children act 1989
and those who say o the parents always know best so I will do nothing besides sit on my bottom and yak, will get forcibly re-educated or if they are unlucky, fired. People who treat children are paid to know this sort of thing
Peter.

Rotherham eh?......mmmm! Could be worse.;-)

I'm very happy they have stopped persecuting these people who committed no crime in the first place, and I'm glad that the police are now going to be investigating the accuracy of the information fed to them rom the hospital which prompted the whole sorry saga. Ashya will have his parents back beside him which is the most important thing, and hopefully go to Prague for his treatment as they wished.
