So I've printed off what I can with my booking, what I believe is our tickets and itinerary. But I'm clueless about online check in.. So I thought kiosk check in May be better? I know I can print my bag tags off from there, bit do I need a bag tag for my hand luggage too? Wasn't sure if I'm not handing it over to them. But do the kiosks also print me my boarding pass? Or do I have to queue to receive that? I'm assuming it does as it would be a little silly to have to check in then queue for a boarding pass? I'm so worried! I always go into the travel agents when booking holidays, that way if there's a screw up in have someone to blame! :( help?

It might help if we knew which airline you're referring to! Some airlines only use online check-in. With Ryanair, for example, there are no check-in facilities at the airport. (There only 'baggage drops').

So who are you flying with?

Sometimes you have to PAY to check in at the airport - much easier to do it online if possible, and print your boarding tickets.

It's Singapore Airlines
I don`t know how Singapore Airlines work but you are better off checking in online from home because you will get a better pick of the seats. If you wait until you get to the airport, you will get what`s left which will be the middle seats (not window or aisle which are most popular).
Singapore Airlines only permit online check-in from 48 to 2 hours before travel. So, unless you'll have internet facilities (complete with a printer) available to you at your holiday destination, you'll have to check in at the airport for your return trip anyway.

At Heathrow you can simply use the automated check-in facility (instead of checking in online in advance), which is explained here:

Most major airlines allow you to check in online regardless of whether you have a printer. You can check in and pick your seat and then print the boarding pass at the airport. I do that all the time on return journeys because there is invariably wi fi in hotels but no access to a printer.

I've already pre-booked my seats, so that doesn't concern me. I think I'll do the kiosk check-in. But does that print my boarding pass off as well as the bag tags? X
From my link:
"Remember to collect your bag tags and boarding passes".

That would seem to imply that the kiosk does indeed print your boarding pass.
I am going to Faro with Easy Jet and I am a bit apprenhensive rang my wonderful travel agent and he has done my boarding card for me and e mailed over to me. He also going to do my Esta for me later in the year.
