Somebody did this to me yesterday, and I had struggle very hard not to knock them over the head with my clip board !

When we had Woolworths infesting our High Street, it was about this time of year that they used to start selling Xmas decorations ! AAAAAAARH !

My Mother used to wait until the 1st of December, before putting the sprouts on !

When I was growing up in the 60's, we used to have a much-loved Boxer dog, who was very handy for eating anything us kids didn't like at the tea table...we used to slip items to her under the tablecloth. But even she wouldn't touch sprouts ! Just as well I suppose, as she was a martyr to excessive wind.

In films they don't decorate the tree until Christmas Eve. All the magic and wonder has gone with it starting earlier every year...

Sprouts love emor hate they are an xmas must. Trouble is we cannot always get them, so if I see some now in August or whenever, I have to get them and blanche them to freeze for Xmas. I can't stand them but always have one, it's a tradition.

Have to admit that when I do go to UK in the Summer, if there are xmas decs, crackers cards on sale then I do buy them.
