i realise that but confusion arises when a new post is opened unnecessarily, which is evident

Although many ABers never go back to questions they asked or added to (in my experience anyway). If Buenchico is one of those then he may not see Mags has added further info to her question, as requested by Chris, so can understand the new post sort of.
