Trouble with 18 down and 28 across - looks like reuters for 28 but 18 should be malaria and they don't match - also what is 20 down - I have T*R*A*A which seems right but nothing fits the clue. All help much appreciated !

Trouble is malaria ends in a which doesn't fit with reuters as the e is where the a should be
Reuters is 29a not 28a.
What is 28a?
