I always enjoy listening to the old Hancock Shows on Radio 4 Extra, as I was a bit young first time around. RIP Bill !

The Golden Age of radio marval ! Kenny Williams, Hancock, Jimmy Clitheroe, the Goons...the list is endless. But thank goodness for Radio 4 Extra, and the Beeb in general !
I agree mikey, I love listening to Radio 4 extra, there were some great programmes in days gone by.
I loved beyond our ken, round the Horne, Hancock and especially the goon show - my nickname at school was Minnie as I could do the voice. Guess that shows my age!

Do you listen to the Garrison Keillor show ( the Prairie Home Companion ) ? Its very, very funny, and last Sunday nights was the best for a long time.

Couldn't resist guys ! :::

The Garrison Keillor show is one I don't know. I must have a listen to it.
Thank you mikey, that was brilliant.
I have to admit that I'd assumed that Bill Kerr had left us a long time ago, so at least it's good to know that he 'had a good innings'.

You don't need to wait for Hancock's Half Hour to come round on Radio 4 Extra, Mikey. It available online at the following times:
Monday: 0100, 0500, 1300, 1700, 2330.
Tuesday: 1100, 2300
Wednesday: 0730*
Friday: 0230*, 0630, 1830
Saturday: 0900, 2100
Sunday: 0430, 1630.
All of those broadcasts are on the British Comedy Channel except for those marked * which are on the Old Time Gold channel:

Can I urge everyone to listen to this clip, from last weeks Garrison Keillor show, from about 40:25 onwards, as soon as he says " Well its been a quite week in Lake Woebegone"

In this episode, a widow insists on joining her late husbands friends on their annual deer hunting trip, in order to keep his spirit alive !
