I only really remember him in Hancock's Half Hour which I listen to on a regular basis. I love his character in that but at least it seems he died laughing - literally, while he was watching Seinfeld so I suppose it was a fitting end.

I remember one "Bill Kerr" joke from Hancock.

Bill Kerr says something to the effect that he has "been awarded the OBE - the Order of the British Empire".

"No" says Hancock, "you were ordered OUT of the British Empire"
