Hello. My friend and her husband would like to go to the Apollo theatre in Victoria to see Wicked. The problem is,even though they have been to London before ,they have never travelled by tube. Could anybody tell me which is the best route from Euston to Victoria, please. Thankyou.

The Victoria line ((blue) runs direct from Euston to Victoria (4 stops).

Wow that was quick,Obiter ,thankyou very much. They will be pleased to know that it is so easy ,thanks once again.
Yes, tell them to get on the second car, first door, to be right by the exit at Victoria. (done the journey once or twice).
just one teensy problem - the "down" escalator to the southbound victoria line at euston is out of use, leaving you to tackle the fixed spiral stairs. if it's at all busy, use of the stairs is restricted as it can be a bit tricky when it's busy. additionally the most obvious alternative not possible because there's no interchange between northern and district lines at embankment.

if you don't fancy the spiral stairs at euston, take a no 73 bus from outside the station directly to Victoria; every 5-7mn, journey 45mn.
OK then, Northern Line to Leicester Square (4 stops), change to Piccadilly Line to Green Park (two stops), change to Victoria Line for Victoria (one stop).

Thank you all for your help ,New Judge ,mushroom 25 and obiter ,I am always pleased that there are so many helpful people about.
Yes, I meant to add, in view of the escalator problem, that the 73 bus goes direct from Euston (just across Euston Road) to Victoria. Allow plenty of time as the route takes you the entire length of Oxford Street, down Park Lane and round Hyde Park Corner. Alternatively walk down Euston Road to Warren Street tube (10 mins max) and take the Vicky line from there.
I'd get a taxi :-)
under the circumstances I would recommend a black cab to save any confusion and spoil their evening, I hope they enjoy the show, I went last month and liked it.

black cab euston-victoria £13-£15 each way, depending on traffic.
uber smartphone app quotes £11-£13 for the same journey, depending on traffic.
