Vacuum Cleaner Purchase...

I've been looking for a vacuum cleaner to buy shortly. I know I have to act quickly to beat this EU ruling!! I am moving to a flat so have been looking at the Hoover Silent & the Bosch Silent cylinder models. Does anyone have either of these? Would love to know what you think of it if you do. I have looked on Amazon & the Bosch one seems to have better reviews. Hope someone can help me on this topic. thanks x

I've just consulted Which? for you...of the two, it's definitely Bosch. At about the same price, you could choose the Miele Silence which performs a bit better....although the Bosch Power Silence is bagless...so no further expense on pricey bags.

thanks for your reply. I did try to get on to the Which? site for the £1 trial but as I had this some months ago it wouldn't allow me to have it again!! not surprising really. I don't think I could do with bags so will probably go for the bagless Bosch. I appreciate your comments x

Forget Hoover. Bosch OK but ovewhelmingly here AB ers reccommend Miele as do Which for very good reason...they are the best and longest lived performers.
Bags are £10 a box and will last you nearly a year.

thanks for your reply mjwman. Yes, I've heard Miele are good. Just wonder though if the vac is noisier than the ones like Bosch & Hoover claim to be quieter. I wouldn't be concerned about the noise it I wasn't moving to a flat in the near future x
