I don't know what's happened to WDYTYA - it seems to have got very anti- British - there was Julie Walters coming over on all unnecessary about the Irish Tenant farmers in her background who could get chucked out at the whim of the Landlord - as if there was any difference between the way English Tenant farmers were treated!
Last week we had Tamsin Outhwaite getting all weepy about her Italian Ice Cream making Great Grandfather being interned on the Isle of Man - I've no idea how you were supposed to differentiate between the 'good' Italians and those 'nasty' Facists!
This coming week it's Brendan O'Carroll (the tasteful Mrs Brown) finding out about his Fenian Relatives falling foul of those 'nasty' British Colonialists!
I don't see it at all as anti-anybody, but I find it less interesting when they only concentrate now on one aspect of the person's forebears, not (as before) giving an overview of all their ancestry.
