Still this doesn't affect me, I have got rid of my vacuum cleaners, because they were only collecting dust.

If anyone sees one of the soon to be banned models on-sale please spread the good news. My vacuum has died.

Yes but did you get the joke?

Obviously not.

We did the Joke as well

What I cannot understand is that the EU wants lower powered cleaners which surely will use more power to do the same job, oh, aren't our energy companies owned by europe anyway. Is this another way to rip us off?.

Do you check out every thread/post, word for word before you place a thread or post, and don't you mean "you did".

But at least I was polite enough to give credit to the comedian that wrote it.
My Henry cleaner is great. The 600w setting is more than enough for me although has a 1200w setting. I am a tidy person though and careful not to make too much mess. Also 'hoover' around once a week which is fine.
Why has this news only been given out at what amounts to the last minute? Why hasn't the public been warned of this at least a year in advance? Does the EU think it would have been too easy for everyone to go out and buy high-powered vacs if we'd been given more warning? Dyson is hopping up and down, saying that if the EU wanted to save on energy, they should have thought about the 12 million vacuum cleaner bags thrown away every year in the UK, instead of a few watts of electricity. And it's going to get worse, with vacuum cleaner maximum power being reduced again in the near future by the same EU committee! Leave the EU? Can't wait!

Should you not be asking Gromit the same question?
1. I was just pointing out we had discussed this a couple of days earlier, and the same joke was used.

2. It is not necessary to credit the every joke you post. The norm is to just tell the joke.

3. Yes I did get the joke. I got it 4 days ago, and I got it when Mr Vine first uttered it ages ago.

4. Normally when it is pointed out that you have reposted on a subject that has already been discussed, it is customary to say sorry, not shoot the messenger.
//My Henry cleaner is great.//

don't you find his sarcastic smile just a wee bit irritating when he gets jammed behind the sofa for the umpteenth time?
