Sadly Anne, cases like his sell papers - like a modern day freak show.
Very uncomfortable.
I'm afraid they can't until / unless the public stop buying the papers and magazines which encourage invasion of privacy.

Isn't he always most vulnerable ?
But for sure, he isn't exactly newsworthy any more.

I think it would be better for him to leave him alone to find himself, not remind him of what he was and what others expected of him.
jomifl, you'd have to ask a journalist that question - I haven't bought a newspaper for years.
Some people can't handle drink. They've been told that they're doing themselves great harm, even killing themselves, but still can't stop. It seems that Gazza is one of those unfortunates. For them there is no answer.
He could have passed me in the street and i would not have recogsised him .
