Free Dvd Download/burn Program For Double Layer Dvds

I've bought a Pioneer DVD/CD writer which came with a CD for Nero 10 software.

The Nero programme doesn't seem to allow me to burn a double layer (240 min) DVD.

Can anyone recommend another free programme that will do the job ?

Windows 7 on Firefox.

Are you 100% sure your burner can deal with DL DVD's?

Nero 10 is quite an old piece of software by todays standards so the Pioneer might not be able to handle DL discs.

Otherwise a simple google gives you

The Pioneer writer claims to burn 8X Maximum DVD-R/+R Writing Speed and 6X Maximum DL. Should that be OK ?
