Has Brendan Rodgers lost it ? According to the BBC sport website Liverpool are in talks to sign Mario Balotelli. After all the problems over Luis Suarez I wouldn't have thought they'd be looking for more.

Once bitten, twice shy!
Whoop whoop! Attention! Mr Rodgers! The doctors are ready for your sanity check now!
If ever there was a non-team player who was only on the pitch for his own individual means it's Balotelli

Good luck with that one Liverpool
i suppose the old tradition of liverpool fc staying clear of sulky prima donnas is long gone :-(
Liverpool HAVE agreed a £16m fee with AC Milan to sign former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli!!!
Talks are continuing because Liverpool want assurances on his commitment and discipline http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28892582 - why bother? It will only be a period of a few months (or even weeks) before he starts playing up as he always does. This transfer is a bad idea imo.

Interestingly, this links to the thread about Paul Gascoigne's recent lapse into further alcohol abuse.

The scenario is the same here - Balotelli's selfish immature anti-social yobbery is tolerated because he is a supremely gifted footballer - but once again, in years to come, when he football skills no longer apply - he will simply be a selfish immature anti-social yob.
You'd have thought Brendan Rodgers would have learnt after Luis Suarez, a great footballer but isn't this dragging Liverpool's reputation down again or even further by buying this self centred Individual. As for the misconduct clause PMSL.
Well, at least he's used to matches! Watch the dressing room go up in smoke....
The Liverpool Supporters will sort out this clever sod.
They've probably got his sell on value in mind. Original asking price was £40 million so buying him in for £16 million seems like good business. Liverpool council in for a bonus from his Parking tickets.
Balotelli can talk? Coherently? Who'd have thought it...
Not to be confused with Marion Bartoli, who would be a much more worthwhile signiing.
^ served an ace there!
Baloyelli, Suarez, El Hadji Diouf......they love their "characters" at Anfield.
^ fire, bite and spit! All good traits!
'' he will be a selfish anti social yob '' and how do you know that andy ?
He has a reputation Anne. Check out Mancini ex- Man C boss, etc
I know who he is, I know he has a '' reputation'' I just wonder how someone ( andy hughes ) seems to know what he will be like as a person in years to come ?
Leopards and spots...
