I think the repeat edition of tonight's Pointless may be the one where one of our AB's SDDSDDEAN wins a very large jackpot with his brother. However, as the grey cells are dying fast, I may be wrong. I will be watching just in case.

Thanks for your interest Supermike. It is supposed to be on, but I am 99% sure it won't be (much to my disappointment). I'll post here again with reasons if it doesn't happen.

Thanks SDDSDDEAN for your response. I thought it must be the right programme because they keep saying it's the highest jackpot yet, and it was recorded in 2012. They are starting at £19750 on this programme so one pointless answer will make it £20K. I hope it is the one as I would like to see it again, but I'm intrigued as to why you think it won't be.
I just want to make sure, then I'll reveal all.
According to another post on here the BBC haven't shown it...but shown another repeat episode instead...
I found out this episode of Pointless wasn't going to be on, when I checked the website for upcoming editions last week, as I had already worked out the day my brother and I would be on. When it didn't show up, I phoned the BBC to see if it was a mistake or what, as I couldn't think of a reason not to show it. On Friday they sent me an e mail with the producers number and I spoke to him Monday morning. When the show first went out 2 years ago, apparently they had several viewer complaints. In the head to head question about photography, Clare and Nat answered the question 'what is the name of an individual light sensitive cell in a digital camera' with the answer 'sensor'. This was deemed wrong and they scored 100. Several people phoned in and said they were right and as the BBC now have the policy that every quiz show must be whiter than white, they decided not to show it again. I pointed out that we had already got the best answer on the board, so it didn't matter what they picked, they would lose. Apparently this doesn't matter! I also said that Alexander has been going on about they biggest jackpot for a week and on Wednesday it will go back to £1000. Surely people will complain more about 'who won the jackpot?'. This doesn't matter either. So if you would like to complain (please, please do) phone the BBC on 03704 101060 (its a standard rate call). If you want to see the show, go to youtube and search for 'Pointless S7 Ep60' or alternatively look here

They are showing the next episode (no 61) instead.
The
Well as long as they coughed up the money.

They have been taken apart before over 'rigging' - Bargain Hunt in the DM - not all it is cracked up to be with the show highly 'controlled', £50k fine for fixing a Blue Peter quiz.......etc etc.
Link didn't work ;-(

"Video blocked on Copyright Grounds"
BBC has blocked the content of sddsddean's link on 'copyright grounds'. Ridiculous. I imagine viewers were looking forward to seeing that episode.
Hmm. The link works for me. Try these two. I did it in 2 parts originally.

Yes, they did cough up the money!!! Bang go my royalties though!!
Thats the 2nd part...heres the first

marje...phone and complain...only way to tell them!!
I have just emailed Points of View to complain. Fed up with censorship of this sort. If there was a mistake a simple explanation would have sufficed.
Well done!
Just e- mailed Points of View at the BBC to let them know how disgusted me and the wife were with dropping this episode of Pointless
Done that, by the way.......
Why do they keep showing repeats of Pointless we watch it all the time and have seen the episode in question so it wouldn't be a surprise seeing it again, in saying that people who have not seen it shouldn't have been deprived!!

I'm really sorry SDDSDDEAN and I will be complaining about this stupid ruling. To me it's like a comedian telling a long joke then refusing to give the punch line. This is ar#e covering at its worst.
Totally agree Mike. I can't see what difference it would make...even if some people phoned in again about Clare and Nat's question.
