I think I have tendonitus in my wrist, do I need to go and see a doctor or is there some way I can treat it myself?

what symptoms do you have? Do you know why you have it?
Do you think you might have it from some repetitive movement? How long have you had the symptoms?

Had it since Sunday evening and it's getting worse. Swollen area on inside wrist (on little finger side), side of arm and lower palm (area getting larger), feels hot to touch and discomfort when stretching fingers, bending hand back or fore and doing basic tasks.
If it was me I would probably try to put a cold compress on it a few times a day and take a NSAID such as ibruprofen or naproxen for a few days and if there is no improvement I would think about seeing a doctor.
No, actually if it was me I would probably leave it for ages in the hope that it goes away (which is usually what I do) but I wouldn`t advise that for someone else. Keep an eye on it and see how it goes.

I'm usually an ignorer of things, can't remember the last time I went to the doctor for myself. Just a bit concerned that I'll make things worse if I ignore it or drop something hot or heavy because of it (don't fancy badly burning my hand again). Maybe it's just wear and tear, it's certainly not caused by exercise. Thanks for the link too.
Put it in a sling to stop you using it.
Sounds like you have made the correct diagnosis and i agree with the advice of all the posters.
