I think I have this in my right arm. I`m not too worried at the moment as I think it has been there for a while and I haven`t noticed. I have noticed that I can`t lean on that elbow due to pain but the pain level is low. Could it burst if I don`t treat it gently though? By that I mean leaning on it and/or carrying on as normal.

//Could it burst if I don`t treat it gently though?// It can....unusual.....but it can and it would have to be quite a pronounced Olecranon Bursa and even if it did it would probably heal itself without treatment. Don't worry 237..;-)

Thanks sqad. I`m not worried (as long as it`s only bursitis) it`s just that I know it`s there I have an urge to bash it like you do with a ganglion. I will eventually be going to see muscoskeletal person about my shoulder so with a bit of luck, someone there might get a big needle out and give it a stab or two.

BTW sqad I have just worked with a guy who said he had the hydrodilation on his shoulder about 5 years ago. He had it done privately. They inject a steroid as well as the fluid. He said it hurt like hell for 48 hours but on the third day he woke up and the pain was gone. He`s been fine ever since. I hope it works that well for me.
