Dined today and got chicken and ham pie.

Nice but I know that the pastry was just put over the chicken and ham creamy mixture etc.

Have had this pastry before and know it is baked after the order is presented.

Am looking where it could be bought but to no avail.

thanks Shoota - but looked at the link - I would say my dish was served within 10-15 minutes and pastry was definitely there and then baked.
They pre prepare and part bake the tops and just finish off as orders come in most likely.
I think Fray Bentos make them in tins; just remove lid & bake for 20mins. Sold in poundland.
How much are they Tam?
Haha, cheeky boys get a smack x
They always have soggy bottoms.
