Of course she was'nt wearing a burkha. She did'nt possess any. She was taking all that money to Syria to buy a wardrobe full. Thought that was obvious. The subterfuge was because she did'nt want to be mugged by Syrian Islamic Terrorists to fund their cause whilst on way to the Damascus branch of Marks and Sparks. It is impossible for every passanger to be searched because of the sheer volume of traffic. So the process is automated. All hold luggage and hand luggage is scanned by sophisticated scanners. Also jackets and sometimes shoes. People have to walk through metal detectors, and very many are hand searched as well. Passports are viewed up to three times. In short, security is top notch, especially at modern airports such as Dalaman or Istanbul.

When I returned from Turkey about 10 years ago they confiscated a jar of Honey. Contraband apparently.
