Why Do I Always Dream At This Stage Of Sleep?

Just a curious question regarding dreaming; The only time I ever dream is if I wake up too early and doze back off after being awake for about 30 minutes then go to sleep for another hour or two. I thought that dreaming occurred in really deep sleep.....how can this be if I was awake and then went back to sleep, surely this is not deep sleep anymore? Just curious......

Whenyou sleep it is in 90 minute approx sleep cycles. Slow wave sleep followed by rapid eye movement sleep which is the dreaming sleep. If you wake during a dream it is possible to go back into it. Also the period of dreaming sleep takes longer as you go into later "cycles" during night.

I don't wake up during a dream. I only start dreaming when I doze back off...Thanks
