Last chance saloon here.

Looking for a double loft bed - problem is the IKEA ones are all around 208cm-215cm in length and I am very limited on space (200cm max) so did not want it have a bit of space underneath (approx 160cm)

I have looked all around and I cannot see any that match my needs - any ideas apart from get a carpenter to build one? I was looking at cost as well as I am on a budget.

Many thanks

Forgive me if this is a daft suggestion, but could you cut the legs down to the height you need?

It's length that is the problem (don't all men say that!)

I'm just after a double loft bed - no longer than 200cm with some good space underneath, approx 160m. Only ones I can find are IKEA ones which are longer than 200cm, pity as they are cheap second hand on ebay
Sorry my fault for not reading it properly!

(And yes, men do have a warped version of length!)
I have no interest whatsoever in lofts, beds or the like so why I opened this I have no idea. So pleased I did.......humour is still alive and a little light banter about gentlemans' generous perceptions of measurements certainly amused me.
Maybe a good joiner would be able to shorten a wooden one?

(I once asked Mr P to measure an odd shaped pillow for a custom made case. To this day I'm convinced he just made it up, the pillow is a good 4 inches longer than he seems to have measured. Bless.)
I'm sorry that this doesn't help but I think that it's a point worth mentioning here anyway:

Surely there's absolutely no point having a short bed (whether purchased from stock or made-to-measure by a joiner) if you can't get a mattress that fits it, is there? To the best of my knowledge, with the exception of mattresses made specially for young children's beds, nobody makes short mattresses.
I am being particularly thick today... I hadn't even thought about the mattress!

Saying that, my FIL had a mattress and bed custom made by a local company, as he wanted one longer and wider than normal.
