Of course they are going to deny it and point the finger at the guard. But the Guard is representing them so as with any other company they (the company) are still responsible. He was not the only one.

/// Housing worker Emma Noakes said on Facebook: ‘My friend’s family have just been refused entry at Vue cinema as they are not Muslim - this is a shocking disgrace. ///

Mmmm, I see it was at Star City. It's a dump.
Reading the link it looks more like a mistake by the security guard rather than a specific company policy which would clearly be a breach of the laws on racism.
How is this similar to AOG's usual relentless anti-muslim rants ?

Or your usual relentless anti-AOG rants.
// How is this any different from the B&B/Gays situation? //

Firstly it's racism and not homophobia.
Secondly, it's an employee behaving like an ar5e rather than a company policy, and the company has since apologised.

I'm not sure what they did at the time, but I would have complained to the police.
They should have shown their race card.
similar "problems" have occurred at different entertainment venues in the past, where block booking has been undertaken for specific events, usually during the venue's low-season. these venues, though, are typically not very good at advertising what is effectively a closure to the public. which causes misunderstanding, and ill-feeling.

It is along the same vein as the gays/B&B situation, the difference being that if you are a white Christian the full force of the law is bought to bear on you, if you are a muslim, particularly a non white one then nothing will be done for fear of being labeled racist etc by the right-on crowd.

I agree with ludwig. So far this appears to be a case of a racist individual without company endorsement. If the company does turn out to have lied they should be prosecuted like the B&B bigots were.
The company appear to have apologised. I hope they sack the employee. He's an ***.
That was ar&e.
... although what difference it makes if I type an 's' or a '&' I have no idea.
weird isn't it Naomi, When I typed the initials of French Connection UK it was 'sanitised'. It doesn't even spell a word. Must try backward spelling , see how long it takes to re-programme the cyber policeman 'esra'.
How can anybody prove that they are or aren't muslim?
very light-hearted this morning, aog. ;o)
