A couple of slipped discs mean that I get intermittent numbness and 'dragging' of my left foot. Just recently, over the last couple of weeks, I've noticed numbness in my left hand. For example, this has led to difficulty in holding coins and I sometimes drop some.
Just another symptom of decrepitude?

\\\\Just another symptom of decrepitude?\\\

Yes, that would be number one on my list of differential diagnoses.

There is almost certainly no connection between your foot problem and your hand numbness.

Which fingers of your left hand are numb?

The central two of the four, Sqad. But the entire hand seems slightly numb.
mmm!...not a typical distribution of anything.....monitor the situation.

have you seen anyone about it?
Could it be Repetitive Strain Injury. I sometimes get similar symptoms in bed when half my hand goes numb. It feels as if half hand is missing.

I don't think it's RSI.
I'm from that group that rarely trouble their GP. I've only been experiencing this for a few weeks but if it persists I will go and get it checked out.
I have just remembered that it was Carpal Tunnel Syndrome that was suggested I had not RSI as I mentioned yesterday. Best to see GP for correct diagnosis if it doesn't settle down.
