Morning all.
I paid in full for a fire on sunday and was told that once the survey was carried out by the gas fitter they would order the fire. Before the fitter came yesterday i checked on the internet for any reviews and found that on maybe 5 sites the price was £100-110 cheaper. I phoned the showroom and he told me that he would speak to his boss and phone me back today (thurs) to see what they can do. If i don't get anywhere i.e. price match, can i ask for a full refund, they have NOT yet ordered this fire. If anyone has any advice could they give me it ASAP before i get the call from the showroom.

Has the fitter been round?
They may argue you were happy with the price when you bought it.

It is annoying though- we ordered something recently from Laura Ashley when it was reduced by 50% in the sale. It's since been reduced twice by a further 20% then 10%

Also i had to choose this fire from a brochure.
i would imagine that as you have paid, you have now entered into the contract - they offered you the fire for sale at a certain price, you agreed and paid.
I assumed they'd bought it from the showroom on Sunday but yes, if it was bought online, then there may be some hope
