if you've listed an item for sale on ebay, there's one or two days to go before deadline, you've got no bidders opr watchers, can you withdraw it and if so how?

Yes,you can close it,just go to end the auction early and put in the most appropriate bullet point from memory...
I'm sure I've cancelled a listing, even though it had bids on it as well.
You've got to remember, that people will usually try and sell their items through other channels as well, such as Loot; Preloved; local newspaper; local supermarket advert board .... etc.
If you end up selling your item elsewhere; Ebay can't force you to sell something you no longer have.
When I advertise something on Ebay, I usually add a disclaimer at the end, " This item is being advertised elsewhere and as such I reserve the right to cancel this listing at anytime".
You are able to do it even if there are watchers. Often, when I click to open my 'Watched Items - Ended', one of them turns up with the information line "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available".
As said, find your listed Item By the number, type your number in, then end the listing as it's no longer for sale, but you do have a limited time.
