Gentle debate going on here as to who owns The Kabin.

Some say Rita is the owner. Others say she and Norris between them (Rita majority holder). There is even a suggestion of Norris on his own.

The Corriepedia site quotes
In recent years Rita's assistant has been Norris Cole. Growing unhappy with his role as an assistant despite his senior years, Norris was allowed to invest in The Kabin, becoming a junior partner.

In September 2009, Rita decided to leave her precious Kabin to Norris.

(Hope that is in italics - first attempt)

So decisions please.

REason for asking is Rita seems to treat Norris as the assistant and with less courtesy than his joint ownership position?

Reasons why Rita treats Norris with disrespect-well it's Norris isn't it? If I were Norris I'd put my money in something else, like short selling the underwear factory-bound to go up in flames sometime!
I thought Granada TV Studios owned it !
Rita made Norris a partner but she is the head honcho still...
"Rita sold The Kabin to employee Norris Cole so that she could go travelling. When she returns, she is re-employed by Norris and is currently second in command."
As Jom says.....Norris owns the Kabin...I do wish you people would keep up !!!
Eeee, what a lot of mithering, etc.
Norris owns the cabin,
Norris should stop mithering that paper boy outside the shop, people will talk!
Is it still a Post Office? A big fuss was made years back about The Kabin becoming one, but I've never seen anyone buy so much as a stamp!
I though Rita owned it...I know Emily Bishop sold her house to Norris...don`t remember Rita going into partnership with Norris...horrid little man!!!
We used to see Norris or Rita in the cage that was the post office, counting money or selling stamps. Not for ages, though.
janbee is right - the rest are fictitious characters so can't own property.
Definitely Norris

I think the Post Office part closed
Canary, the question is about fictional property, not production sets.
Norris only puts up with Rita treating him like sh*te because he harbours an enrequited love for her.
Wish AB had an edit button! 'unrequited'
Norris is an interfering old rat bag, I can't stand him, but yes, he owns the Kabin!
But at least he cares for Rita, was funny tonight when dodgy Dennis showed his true colours.
I also cheered when 'dodgy Dennis' thumped him !!
