It's not even the end of July and I have already seen my first 'festive' menu and Christmas Day menu :(

Mic and I have not celebrated Christmas since 2008. This year will be different I'm going to push the boat out. BUT not yet. A couple of days before the big day will do.
What a coincidence, I was down at the Portsmouth Historic Dickyard this afternoon, and they're advertising a Christmas Special on board HMS Warrior.

QVC have been selling chrismassy stuff all day - snowflake lights at the moment.

I've just checked - my local Esso station will be doing flowers, milk tray and cans of WD40 on Christmas Eve - that should cover most eventualities.

Psssst, Dave most Tesco filling stations are 24 hour ones !.

Humber - the posh advent calendars were getting out of hand 5 x £25! The bag of doom consists of 24 wrapped gifts (preferably under £1 for each day), usually chocolate or sweets or sometimes pencils, pens, etc. I called it the bag of doom because my kids appreciate a bit of darkness and because they never knew if they were getting something really naff. As they would be getting some sort of treat after tea it's money I would have spent anyway. On the final day they got a big bottle of coke, Pringles, sweets, popcorn, etc and opened it in the morning to snack on during the day.
ticks off ferro rocher from tony, hmph
One litre of Castrol GTX for hippy chick.
brilliant sherr!
I haven't thought about Christmas yet, too early. Anyone fancy a trip to Canary's Portsmouth Historic Dickyard?
marval, for those of us who's life is somewhere between Time Team and Scrapheap Challenge, Portsmouth dockyard isn't much of a trip out ;)
