A cheque is blown behind a radiator or a CD slips behind a heavy piece of furniture...how to get them out?...so, does anyone know of extendable grabbers and from where they can be bought and what would be their proper name?...they can hardly be called extendable grabbers?...huge smile and Ta Muchly.

Google 'Grabber Stick', there are loads of places to buy them - Argos included.
Hi woody - it's called a Litter Picker, it's the sort of tool men in parks use for picking up rubbish. You can by them in Argos, or Amazon have them (I won't put a link as you may not be able to access it easily). Hope you are OK (smile) - I wish I had a cheque behind the radiator.

I've got a couple of those 'grabber' thingies ('cos I couldn't find the first one when I really needed it, so I went out and bought another one). I didn't have to hunt for either of them; I simply went to any convenient 'discount shop' because they nearly always have them.

Wilkinsons do have them

but at roughly double the cost that you'll pay at local independent discount (or hardware) stores.
Would an ordinary 12 inch ruler help to dislodge it?
