Aldi is right. Busines would suffer if other customers came in to shop only to find empty shelves because one person had bought all the stock. The sensible thing to do would have been for him to ask Aldi to order in what he wanted. I'm sure they'd have obliged.
Strange not one Daily Mail dig or even a mention of a none news story.

Must all depend who the messenger happens to be.
It must be a bit dispiriting for a supermarket manageress to see all the 'loss leaders' being spirited away without enticing any custmers to be ripped of....but Hey, that's business.
Did you take your anti-paranoia tablet this morning? I am astonished by your persecution complex AOG, what is it about playing the victim that appeals to you so?
It must be dispiriting for normal customers to go with the intent of buying those goods to find there are none left. He could have spoken the manager of Aldi beforehand or even got himself a Costco warehouse membership to bulk buy whatever and whenever he wants.
The point is if you go to a shop and can't get what you want, you go somewhere else - and, like any business, Aldi don't want their customers going somewhere else. He should have spoken to the Manager and ordered what he wanted - that's all. They'd have ordered it in specially for him.
Puts me in mind of a local Safeway, many years ago. On Saturday afternoons there'd be a load of gentlemen of Indian and Pakistani persuasion aimlessly wandering round the store with empty trolleys. Then, around 4:30, there would be an announcement, "All salad items are now half price". There would be a thunderous stampede towards the vegetable section...
I'd bet my last farthing that not 1 tin was destined for 'charity'.
Obviously 'he' hasn't got a corner shop, but he'll know a man who has.
Well,he certainly showed a lot of tinacity....

When you persecuted, trolled, insulted, criticied for subject matter, chosen headline, spelling or grammar as many times as I am then at times one does get a little paranoid.

But then when I respond back, those like yourself who dish it out can't take it back.
& can do attitude. ;)
I don't see why, at the time of the issue, it was impossible to supply some stock from the store at the back of the shop, and agree a day/time when they could get more in for him. Issue sorted and no feathers ruffled.
He might have been genuine, O-G, but I wonder whether this store had been getting a lot of this from suspected traders over recent times. I'm not sure why he made separate trips to these stores- with hindsight he could have warned one in advance and done it all in one go, although maybe he'd have needed a minibus I suppose
//// But then when I respond back, those like yourself who dish it out can't take it back.////

Much like you then.
AOG, have you noted the irony of your post?
It's best if we stay on track or this thread might go in the wrong direction and risk getting pulled
I agree with the store - what about the other customers? Once I was in Asda and I wanted a box of dog biscuits that my dog absolutely loves. As I was nearing the aisle I saw a man take every box of that particular brand off the shelf, leaving nothing for me (or anyone else). I asked him politely if I could have one and he just smirked and walked off ! I was fuming !
OG, most stores dont hold stock out back, it takes valuable selling space that thanks to the Government, for a business, costs a fortune in poll tax.
