No storms here overnight in my part of Leicestershire - just a few flashes lightning at 11.30pm and a heavy shower in the night, even the ground is dry this morning, that is a nuisance as may have to water the garden today.
The lightning website shared by woofgang last night was brilliant to follow the path of the storm, just double click on your area of the map .....

Ha ha. Probably. Good old British summer. Raining here now S of York and dog needs walking. Ah well.
My sister won't be pleased about that, she's on her way home to a few miles north of Leicester and no doubt hoping to find her garden well watered.
Lots of rain here in Derbys.
We didnt get these torrential downpours that we were promised here in the south-east either.

I see from the map there is lightning just off the coast of Weymouth at the mo.
We didn't get the storms in Beds. but it was a stiffling, hot night. I didn't sleep well.
another broken night is south hampshire some sheet lightning which the storm website didn't map and heavy rain but not much of it.
We had thunder at 4am and I am not very far from you ann but it didn't last long .
Just spoken to my son in Peterhead - he said the weather was terrible with thunder/lightning and heavy rain. 100 miles down the coast in Dundee it's a bit dull but very calm. Maybe the calm before the storm?
We had one clap of thunder last night apparently but I didn`t hear it. Quite muggy now. The weather`s probably waiting to unleash it`self when I go to work later.
