I have a spare laptop wireless card for a Dell machine and my computer in the bedroom is also a Dell machine so my question is will I be able to insert it into the PC or do I need a different card?

Any help will be much appreciated and if I do need a different card how much will it cost?

Thanks!

Is the laptop wireless card about the size of a credit card, and fairly thin ? Like this (ignore writing)

If so it will not fit in a PC.

You will need an internal card like this

or an external USB wireless card

Your laptop card is a PCMCIA card and you can buy an adaptor to PCI which will fit in your PC for about 10 from all major PC shops

Thanks vehelpfulguy but it doesn't look like any of those, more like an internal card that you slot into!!

I'll check it out and look more into it before I get excited or impatient but thanks to the suggestions!
