Yesterday, I had a pop up window which had a chrome symbol on it and it said I needed to update the video thingy. I installed it and got loads of other things as well, 'Driver update', 'Back up My PC' and 'Speed up my PC'. I got a bit worried and stopped the installation. I then did a malware scan and it found 107 items, most of which seemed to be PUP things.

I have been into 'My Computer' settings and uninstalled the driver and back up programs but it won't uninstall all the 'Speed up my PC' prog. It said I could do it manually. This big blue square with a clock thing is now in the bottom tray and I don't know how to get rid of it, manually

Will it be ok just to leave it? It does tend to dominate the screen when I switch on.

Windows 7

I have SA and it's not on the list anymore but I had a message to say that parts of it had to be uninstalled manually and I don't know how to do that either.

So these things I have to download, HitmanPro, Junkware Removal Tool
and Adwcleaner are all safe, are they?
