/// Chief Inspector Steve Benson-Davison said: ‘While the (Carnage) event results in high numbers of intoxicated individuals generally there are no major issues in terms of violent crime and disorder. //

Except for this instance, when a man was kicked, punched and disrobed by a gang of drunken females.

/// At 3.30am, two 19-year-old men are arrested for being drunk and disorderly and bundled into the back of a police van. ///

There were many who were drunk and disorderly, why did these females and many more students get away scot free?

I liked this readers comment;

/// Students telling someone to get a job, the irony... ///

I will gladly condemn their despicable actions, a bit of lively revelry after a few drinks is one thing - but complete and utter thuggery is sickening.
Students or not their still just a pair of drunken thugs.
This sort of offence (violent disorder) used to attract a 12 mnth custodial sentence but that was prior to the introduction of the 'Sentencing Council', which is basically the UK's most liberal Judges & Barristers whose remits seems to be to reduce the prison budget
I'm happy to condemn too, disgusting behaviour, would have been whichever sex and I would hope from the pictures they are identifiable enough to be held to account for it.

I don't know why people can't just go out and enjoy themselves and know their limits and have responsibility for their own limitations and actions.

We had a local festival here over the weekend and there were stabbings and other violence, it's just ridiculous. Bad enough local residents apparently have to put up with drunken people vomiting, urinating etc... in their gardens.

Even with a free ticket you wouldn't get me to some events round here, seems to be in the in thing to throw cups of urine at each other and all sorts, it's just disgusting. Even a Take That tour (not affected by the vile practice I just mentioned that I know of):

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2266726/Doctors-treated-800-Take-That-fans-overdid-concerts-summer.html

There are more and more common alcohol sale bans here around events (local supermarkets either don't sell it at all between certain hours or not to "fans"), started for the football and have seen it more recently for a rugby weekend event and, which I had to do a double-take at, One Direction concerts!

It's also an unfair burden on the emergency services who have to sort out all the fallout, taking them away from other matters.
I'll very happily condemn them AOG, really hateful behaviour.
ANOTHEOLDGIT you have to stop making the assumption that the absence of condemnation equates to support.
Why does everyone have to come out and condemn it? It's obviously bad behaviour, it's a bit like saying "Why haven't you posted saying cholera is a bad thing? Are you in favour of cholera or something?"

Where except in your own twisted mind have I assumed that just because some have chosen not to condemn it, they are therefore supporting it?

Your cholera analogy, is just plain ridiculous, so much so that I nearly chose to ignore it, but I decided otherwise simply so as to highlight it for the records.
I agree, it is ridiculous. It's meant to be. Which is why I don't understand why you take exactly the same attitude to other horrible things.
"Where are the AnswerBank females, apart from one, none have chosen to come on and condemn the actions of these thuggish, violent, and repulsive females?"

Why did you ask that question?

I must admit that my answer was prompted by the 'Where are....' comment - it made me feel by silently seething it appeared I was giving some tacit approval to it.

Rather stupid of me I know.
I'll condemn them too, if that helps?
