..do newspapers report on a programme that took place last night.
I am talking about The Soap Awards which I was looking forward to watching this evening. Skimming through The Sunday Express, before I knew it, I was reading all the results.
Part of the enjoyment is not knowing who is going to win. Now, I know most of what happens. It infuriates me.
They are there to report news...and the results are that. Bearing in mid there will always be those who watch several days later, when *can* they print the results??...next week?,..tomorrow?
Then they will be accused of not being up to date.
They could report it tomorrow when the fast majority of "fans" will have watched the programme.
If you wait longer to watch a programme, that is the possibility you have to live with and quite right too.
I can't watch the Monaco Grand Prix until 5pm today because I don't have the Sky GP Channel. However, I wouldn't expect a newspaper not to report on it tomorrow, After, it had been aired.
I stay away from News Bulletins this afternoon, in case they mention it.
I agree, the TV magazines do it too. They tell you well in advance what is going to happen in programmes, tell what is on and let me find out by watching.
