Are we Scots going to have to hear Glasgow pronounced Glaursgow till the games are over? It's driving me mad already !

I am reminded of some Australians going to Loughborough University. They had considerable trouble making themselves understood at the train station when asking for a return to Loobaroo......

to be fair, to be written as pronounced and be grammatically correct, it needs an apostrophe.
Bearsden can afford apostrophes :-)

One of my favourite place names is Bonar Bridge (Bonar) for short. Makes me giggle like a 12 year old boy.
The ones that bug me are Greenock..... pronounced Grennock and Tyndrum pronounced Tindrum..... ARGGGHHHHHH
