Does anyone else think that the word “restaurant” should be spelled “restaraunt” since when we pronounce it, we make the third syllable rhyme with “haunt’ and not the second?...Things like this keep me awake at knight.

I always pronounce 'aunt' as 'arnt'. I don't know anyone that says 'ant'.
