So have I ?(gentle answers please) - I've come back from the vets today having been 'persuaded' with a tube of cat toothpaste which I'm supposed to use daily with a cotton bud until my kitten gets older then upgrade to a cat toothbrush.....

Prudie - she is adorable. Looking at pictures of baby animals make me broody.

Is this your first cat boss or have you worked for other cats before?

Have fun with the brushing. (snigger)

I don't think I'll bother but maybe when she reaches cat teens I'll fork out for a set of veneers *Chortlesplutters*
cats are not for french kissing

Wolf I'm a slave of many years and many cats. I also have a one year old who used to be cute like that but now she's a proper bruiser!
well you could always use it on yourself if it doesnt work/ you get tired

apparently if you start early they put up with it later on

On another note: I said to my labby - you stinky boy !
and then I went to the stairs and screeched 'up!',

and the dog went up stairs went into the bathroom and jumped in the bath - and looked at me as if to say 'stinky but good boy'

PP ~ my first dog (GSD/Bullmastiff) used to escape from our garden and have a day out enjoying himself. He always came home stinking of something nasty. He would arrive home, be let in and then he would automatically go up the stairs and into the bath.

Use it on myself PP? I think that would bring a whole new level to morning breath :-)
Erm, I have never cleaned my cats' teeth, prudie - I rely on Oral care biscuits to do that for us.....
Lovely little puss. Looks like you have the same suite as me !
Yes. If a cat or dog is fed correctly they should not need their teeth cleaned. I have had show dogs and pet cats for more years than I care to remember and have never cleaned a tooth on any of them. My vet is so good that when I took a newly picked up rescue in today to have a jab to stop her coming in season he even gave her a spray with some flea spray he had there rather than try to sell me some.
Your kitty is very sweet.... And yes, you're a mug. But I still like you ;o)
My vet once suggested I give my cat toothpaste and he gave me a free trial sachet of chicken flavour feline toothpaste that you just smear onto their lips and they lick like mad. Never bought it. That cat lived until his kidneys failed at 14 and never had any oral issues.

I once gave my dog Pedigree Dentistix, I dug them all up last Autumn when I was lifting the potatoes from my vegetable patch. Her gnashers are in fine form.
My guess is the vets was called 'I Saw You Coming' is based in Notting Hill and run by a bloke called Harry Enfield:-). By the way, would you like to purchase a bucket of blue steam?
