Is it normal for the terminal to change? I've got to pick my OH up from Gatwick tonight and his ticket says south terminal but when I look on the arrivals board it says north. Big differnce for where to park.

It's certainly unusual. What's the flight number?
Question Author
Easyjet 5480
Question Author
From Madrid
Question Author
Arghhh, and it's half hour earlier than expected.
It's becoming more common & is very annoying.

On my last 3 flights I have departed from the South Terminal
but, contrary to my booking confirmation the return leg landed
at the North Terminal. This necessitates taking the train to the
South Terminal and my car.
Each time I query this I am told it is 'for operational reasons'.

Thanks toalisi, tis a pain in the bum, thank God I looked. I had all my directions worked out for south and now I have to rearrange them all in my head.
Easyjet to Madrid seem to use both, maybe he left from the South but comes back to North.
See the second paragraph under Arriving at Gatwick Airport http://www.easyjet.com/en/cheap-flights/uk/london/airports-lgw-ltn-sen-stn/lgw
easyJet flights with numbers starting with a '5' normally use the South terminal. It looks as if they've had to swap some aircraft around and the one your OH is arriving on will then be used for a flight number starting with '8' (or a domestic flight), which all go from the North terminal
It could well be because they are early. There is often a penalty to pay when you are early because your stand is taken so you have to park somewhere else. That could be what has happened.

Thanks all. I've never driven there before as we normally use Stansted. Have to leave half hour earlier now but at least I should be back home the same.
doesn't take long to go from one terminal to the other by train, maybe 5 minutes, i f you want to stick to your original parking plan.
Question Author
Lol, back now, what a crappy place, I drove into the bus station bit instead of towards the car park then had to find my way back round.

Next time he wants to go to watch pissing Chelsea abroad he'd better fly out of Stansted!
Rocky, tell him to do what I do which is drive himself to airport!
Question Author
He would have Campbell, but they went out of Luton.
Hang on ... you are married to a Chelsea Supporter???

You kept that quiet :)
We have landed at different terminals than advertised in the past, due to them not being able to get a gate. Easy to get between the 2 using the little train though.
Question Author
Lol Dave, I've never made a secret of it, it's actually the bane of my life. If they get a win next week he'll be off to friggin Lisbon in May!
Lisbon is supposed to be lovely - insist on going too, but skip the football & do some sights :)
Pissing Chelsea!!!...Frigging Lisbon!!! I can so hear your tone of voice, Rocky....given me the giggles..☺☺☺
