From the FAQ on the McCulloch website:
"My two stroke equipment starts and dies, why?

There could be many variables that attribute to this.
1. Old fuel, replace with fresh fuel.
2. Carburettor in need of adjustment, contact dealer for repairs.
3. Damaged fuel line or fuel filter, contact dealer for repairs.
4. Fouled or damaged spark plug, replace with the correct spark plug.
If these do not solve the issue please contact your local Authorised service centre."
My first thoughts where fuel blockage of some sort or any of those above, what Buenchico lists.
Sometimes just cleaning the spark plug will do the trick.
