The basic belief of any religion is that any other religion must be wrong
All religions are diametrically opposed, even though Judaism, Christianity and Islam all share the same basic roots. Christianity is no more arrogant than any other religion.

Cameron is right by the lettter and wrong in fact.
Formally, the U.K. is christian through the establishment of the C.of E. by Henry VIII (a religious spat by virtue of his rejection of the church of Rome).
The U.K. is atheist in practice. Evidence our relatives', friends', neighbours' preference for TV-watching, their TV idols etc rather than thinking of god.
Agnosticism is a an easy cop-out, allowing ignoral of religious "teachings" or brainwashing while also allowing attendance at church for marriage, funerals plus ignoring the facts which demonstrate the non-existance of a "divine" creator. The only divine creator has always been mankind himself.
No Cameron was as per usual playing up to the public saying anything popular(?) which costs nothing and is easily swallowed by the gullible.

There are are some who dislike any division in this country yet refuse that it already exists due to their faild utopion dream of a multi racial multi cultural society.
Are they naive enough in believing that if we give up our present Christian country status another prominent religion with not so tolerent views as ours will only be to please to take the helm?

(a) Am I constantly donating to U.K. Food Banks - for moral not mystical religious reasons?
(b) Officials of the C. of E., Catholicism and various members of the upper-classes are apparently guilty of disgusting child abuse?
(c) Do most believe it is better to receive than to give? The greed-culture rules (but not O.K. by me)

Last time I looked Christian church goers were from Africa, the West Indies, Eastern Europe etc. christianity itself is multi racial multi cultural.

But that won't happen. The point of being secular is not to dump one religion for another. It is to keep religious affairs and State affairs separate. No interference from ANY religion in the running of the country.

But that won't happen. The point of being secular is not to dump one religion for another. It is to keep religious affairs and State affairs separate. No interference from ANY religion in the running of the country.

Missing from my list (examples atually) of heinous child- or adult-abusers? Yup, sadly it crosses all boundaries of society and all such abusers should be banged up and the key thrown away.
Oh, we are not as differet as you seem to believe.
I am as true a Brit as you AOG, we just think and debate differently.
