I was alerted (thanks 237SJ) to the fact that Sainsbury's have Taittinger Brut on offer at the moment - a really lovely bottle of fizz at an excellent price :

Alternatively you could nip down to Majestic and join me (metaphorically speaking) in a bottle of Cloudy Bay Pelorus - more body than most champagnes and absolutely cracking with your Easter Lamb

Bottoms Up :)

Well, it`s going to rain on Sunday so it`s a good day to hole-up with a roast, a bottle of champagne and some DVDs.
And if like me you know nothing about wine and think most of it tastes the same you can't beat a cheap sweet sparkling rose from Tesco - Villa Garducci. Tastes like cherry pop and very drinkable.

Anyone who can afford to "stock up" on wine at £27 or even £20 a bottle needs their head examining and should think about donating some of their fortune to charity.
How do you know they don't already Diddly. People are allowed to spend their money as they see fit. Nothing to do with anyone else.
Maybe that's why they have the money to stock up because they bulk buy when things are on offer :-)
If you drink Taittinger and have the money to hand you'd need your head examining if you DIDN'T buy it at the current price.
I think I'll stick to Marques de Monistrol Vintage Brut Cava at Asda. Normally £5.00 a bottle, but presently on offer at three bottles for £12.00.
